The Lowry Lounge celebrates Malcolm Lowry by bringing together academic papers on his work with creative interpretations by artists. This year, myself and Malcolm (aka Rob Keith) gave a
shared 40-minute presentation on our first crossing fused with a factual/fictional journey Through the Panama (one of the main chapters in Hear Us O Lord .. ). We referenced
the little Lego boat fragment salvaged from my childhood toys, an artefact that is becoming one of the project motifs and Rob
brought along his VHF Receivers to pick up live signals from the Mersey. Using previous recordings, we pieced together this 60-second animation using live traffic information
from the Panama Canal.
